Case Study: ZwavelStream Clinic – A Holistic Digital Transformation for a Mental Health Leader
Case Study: ZwavelStream – A Holistic Digital Transformation for a Mental Health Leader
Client Overview
ZwavelStream Clinic is a private mental health and integrative wellness centre based in Dinwiddie, Germiston, Gauteng. Their mission is to provide patients with individualized, holistic care that encompasses both traditional psychiatric approaches and specialized support services for trauma, work stress, addiction, and more.
Despite offering a highly respected clinical environment and comprehensive wellness services, their digital presence was outdated and underperforming—leaving a gap between the quality of care they deliver and how they were perceived online.
What We Did
New Perspective Design undertook a full-scope digital revamp across multiple fronts:
-
Website Redesign: We rebuilt their site from the ground up, modernizing the layout, structure, and mobile responsiveness.
-
SEO Strategy: We performed deep on-site optimization and launched an ongoing SEO campaign targeting mental health search terms relevant to Gauteng.
-
AdWords Campaign Restructure: We adjusted and optimized their existing Google Ads strategy for greater cost-efficiency and relevance.
-
Social Media Marketing: We initiated and continue to manage their social media campaigns, aligning visuals, copy, and post timing with the clinic’s brand voice and service offerings.
-
Off-Page SEO & Link Building: We began establishing trust signals through relevant backlinks and directory listings to improve authority.
This multi-channel strategy not only enhanced visibility but created a consistent digital experience from discovery through to conversion.
Website Design: A Calming, Patient-Centered Experience
The redesigned homepage introduces users to a peaceful, wellness-focused environment—echoing the experience at their physical clinic. Key features include:
-
Clean, intuitive layout with strong hierarchy and minimal clutter
-
High-conversion CTAs such as “Book Mental Health Quiz” and “Take a Video Tour”
-
Trust-building visuals of staff, facilities, and verified patient reviews
-
Expanded service visibility with categorized mental health conditions and supportive care options
-
Integrated contact points on every scroll, removing friction from lead generation
The visual tone blends professionalism with warmth, reinforcing trust while encouraging patient engagement.

-
Direct Traffic: 359 (↑25.1%)
-
Paid Search: 250 (↑13.1%)

These numbers reflect a sharp increase in traffic across all fronts, with organic search leading the charge thanks to new keyword structures, improved page loading speed, and better indexation.
Audience Growth: New and Returning Visitors
Screenshot 2: GA4 User Engagement
-
Active Users: 1.3K (↑30.8%)
-
New Users: 1.2K (↑240.2%)
This shows we’re successfully attracting fresh traffic, largely due to improvements in search, ads, and social media reach. Users are not only finding the site—they’re entering through multiple channels.
Note on Engagement Rate: The engagement rate sits at 24.1%. While some might compare this to industry benchmarks, we don’t believe in chasing arbitrary averages. Every business operates within its own context—its own audience, regional behaviors, and unique value.
What matters is trajectory—and that’s exactly what we’re tracking. Engagement is improving steadily, and users are showing increasing interest through deeper browsing and repeat visits.
To boost engagement further, we’ll continue:
-
Internal linking
-
Scroll-triggered CTAs
-
Interactive content modules
-
Time-based triggers that guide users deeper into the funnel
High Conversions, Lower Cost
Screenshot 3: Google Ads Performance
-
Conversions: 208 (↑35)
-
Cost per Conversion: R8.20 (↓R1.74)
-
Conversion Rate: 22.86% (↑4.05%)
This data proves that restructuring ad campaigns to align with a cleaner, clearer site pays off. With improved ad copy, better audience targeting, and frictionless page design, we were able to increase conversions while reducing cost.
Sustained Growth in Search Engine Visibility
Screenshot 4: Google Search Console Performance (28 Days YoY)
-
Impressions: 55.2K (↑6.8K YoY)
-
Total Clicks: 2.28K (Stable)
-
CTR: Slight dip to 4.1% (from 5.1%)
-
Avg. Position: 8.9 (Stable)
Even with CTR dipping slightly—a known effect of Google’s evolving SERP layout and AI Overviews—our impressions and keyword presence continue to grow. We’re covering more ground, appearing for more terms, and occupying stable, high-value search positions.
Social Media Marketing
Alongside the SEO and design work, we also took over ZwavelStream’ social media marketing. Our goals:
-
Build brand recognition in Gauteng
-
Educate and reduce stigma around mental health
-
Drive engagement and referral traffic
-
Reinforce credibility through design consistency and content quality
We’ve achieved 105.9% growth in organic social sessions, and brand interactions across Facebook and Instagram are steadily rising. Our campaigns include:
-
Graphic design for quote cards and carousel posts
-
Staff intro spotlights and behind-the-scenes content
-
Targeted local awareness posts and promotions
This social presence is now actively contributing to ZwavelStream’ patient pipeline.
Multi-Channel Integration = Business Growth
The most valuable transformation wasn’t any one change—it was the alignment of everything:
-
Web design, SEO, ads, and social all share the same tone, structure, and intent
-
Users are guided seamlessly from awareness to action
-
Traffic quality is improving, not just volume
Whether it’s a user coming from a Facebook reel, a Google ad, or an organic search result, their experience is consistent, calm, and conversion-oriented.
Final Thoughts
This project illustrates how a full-funnel digital transformation can redefine how a business shows up online. From design to discovery to decision-making, every touchpoint now reflects the professionalism, care, and trust that ZwavelStream offers in person.
We continue to refine their strategy monthly—monitoring trends, refining campaigns, building backlinks, and expanding their authority footprint.
