Case Study: Wysnuesie Kleuterskool Franchise Website Design & SEO | New Perspective Design
Wysnuesie Kleuterskool
Franchise Preschool Website Design & SEO Content Platform
Pretoria & Johannesburg
Wysnuesie Kleuterskool is a growing preschool franchise with multiple branches across Pretoria and Johannesburg. While the brand had already established strong visibility on social media, their existing website did not reflect the scale, professionalism, or operational needs of a multi-branch education franchise. You can check out their website here: https://www.wysneusie.co.za/
New Perspective Design was tasked with creating a website that could function as both a public-facing marketing platform and an internal content system that non-technical school staff could manage with ease.
Project Objectives
The core objectives of the project were clearly defined from the start:
-
Position Wysnuesie as a franchise, not a single-location preschool
-
Create a child-friendly visual identity without compromising clarity or structure
-
Enable non-technical staff to update content independently
-
Support regular publishing of regulated school content and documents
-
Increase organic search visibility in Pretoria and Johannesburg
-
Build a platform that could scale alongside franchise growth
This was not a once-off website build. It needed to be a long-term content and communication tool.
Website Design for a Preschool Franchise
Designing a website for a preschool requires a careful balance. The visual language must feel warm, approachable, and engaging for parents and children, while still communicating safety, organisation, and credibility.
To achieve this, we created custom illustrations and interface graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. These assets were designed specifically for the Wysnuesie brand and integrated consistently across the website to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
The design approach focused on:
-
Clear visual hierarchy for parents navigating information quickly
-
Consistent colour usage aligned with existing brand assets
-
Structured layouts that prevent visual overload
-
Mobile-first usability, acknowledging that many parents browse on phones
The final design reflects the energy of the school environment while maintaining the professionalism expected from a franchise operation.
WordPress CMS with Custom Admin Functionality
The website was built on WordPress, selected for its flexibility and long-term maintainability. A key requirement was that school administrators and staff should be able to manage content without relying on developers.
To support this, we implemented Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) extensively across the site.
Custom post types and structured fields were created for:
-
Blog articles
-
School notices and announcements
-
Downloadable documents and resources
-
Activity and gallery content
This ensured:
-
Content updates follow consistent formats
-
Admin users cannot accidentally break layouts
-
Information remains organised and easy to maintain
-
The site remains scalable as content volume increases
For regulated environments such as schools, this level of structure is essential.
Content Strategy & SEO Collaboration
Traffic generation was treated as a core part of the project, not an add-on.
We worked closely with Liza Marie, Wysnuesie’s content creator and a qualified teacher. This collaboration was particularly important due to the regulatory nature of educational content. Schools must communicate clearly, accurately, and within specific boundaries.
By combining:
-
First-hand classroom experience
-
Educational subject knowledge
-
SEO-focused content structuring
we were able to create experience-based content that aligns naturally with real search behaviour.
Rather than generic preschool copy, the content reflects real school activities, learning approaches, and parent concerns. From experience, this type of content performs significantly better in organic search than templated or AI-generated text.
Local relevance for Pretoria and Johannesburg was built into the site architecture and content strategy to support franchise-wide visibility rather than a single physical location.
Organic Traffic Growth & Measurable Results
Following the website launch and content rollout, organic performance was tracked using Google Search Console.
Over a three-month period:
-
Total impressions increased from 432 to 1,820
-
Total clicks reached 130
-
Average click-through rate improved from 7.9% to 17.1%
-
Average Google position improved from 12 to 10.5
These results were achieved without paid advertising and are directly attributable to improved site structure, content quality, and consistency.
Importantly, the performance trend shows stability rather than short-term spikes, indicating a sustainable foundation for continued growth.
Ongoing Website & Content Support
This project did not end at launch.
New Perspective Design continues to work with Wysnuesie Kleuterskool on:
-
Content updates and expansion
-
SEO improvements and refinements
-
Structural adjustments as the franchise grows
-
Ongoing performance monitoring
This ongoing relationship ensures the website remains current, compliant, and aligned with both marketing and operational needs.
Outcome
The final result is a website that functions as:
-
A professional digital presence for a preschool franchise
-
A practical content management system for non-technical users
-
A scalable SEO platform targeting Pretoria and Johannesburg
-
A central hub that supports and reinforces existing social media visibility
This project demonstrates how effective website design, structured CMS development, and collaborative content strategy can work together to produce measurable, long-term results in a regulated industry.
